Concept sketch for Cole to face a bigger badder wolf. It is said that current wolves and dogs descended from these Primordial Ice Wolves. Rumors circulate of these giants being harbingers of inky black night and winter winds without end.

Ink concept sketches of the the potential hub world for my game, Blackmask. A port city temporarily named, "Cresport" is a bustling center where travelers do business or ship off to various continents all over the world.

I found Rat Patrol Sketches in one of my old, unused grid sketchbooks I'm trying to use again. Even found an earlier sketch of Claudia the Cat Witch, back when I was thinking of making her a villain character.

Most sketches in my minibooks lately are me trying to write more motives and narratives to the doodles.
Mastafran (4/4 Commissions Slots Full) Work break Horse Armor sketch. It's vaguely Mongolian with a halberd for some reason.
Mastafran (4/4 Commissions Slots Full) Some pen sketches of dialogue situations in Blackmask where Cole would stumble into a random cave and meet a stranger inside.
Mastafran (4/4 Commissions Slots Full) Olivia's Armor. 1 hour long coffee induced warm up painting over some scanned gel pen sketch.
Mastafran (4/4 Commissions Slots Full) Sketches of a Dog Pirate idea for Blackmask. Carries a stick and ball in mouth. Spits ball to set up a batter hit with the stick. Replace ball with bomb or rock or magic call or something.

Passing the time sketching on postcards
Mastafran (4/4 Commissions Slots Full) Idea doodles of a Unnamed Dog Guard arresting Cole chaining together to hinder Cole from adventuring. After A cool buddy adventure finishes, the two have a mutual understanding. #sketchbook #anthro

Continuing my absurd campaign to make "Dark Souls Jr," I sketched a basset hound with shields on its ears. Is it effective for battle? Shut up nerd!
Mastafran (4/4 Commissions Slots Full) Passing the time at Minicon in Vernon Hills, IL by finishing a postcard sketch of Cole in an alternate outfit. It's a sort of timeskip where catastrophic events destroy Cole's merchant business and he must return to a life of crime and piracy, to defeat the evil who pulls the strings.
Mastafran (4/4 Commissions Slots Full) Fox Archers who were supposed to be in the original Knife Fox Illustration, but I didn't scan their line art before coloring them in marker. #sketchbook

Sketchbooks are good for watching your tastes smash against the ceiling of your skill. #sketchbook
Mastafran (4/4 Commissions Slots Full) Sketching key art ideas to solidify the levels I want in Blackmask. Environments still aren't my strong suit so I'm having trouble giving identity to these places.
