matt I think one of the most valuable things that bsky can do for the atmosphere is leverage its position as the only app with a large audience and heavily promote "high quality" ATProto apps in-app. The live indicator and profile buttons are cool, but it's really limited and discovery is spontaneous.

Jake Gold @toni.bsky.team probably time to declare a "code red" and get Bluesky Communities launched ASAP. I'm as blue-pilled and optimistic as it gets, and I deeply respect *everyone* I worked with on the team, but even I'm getting worried about how many chances remain. Feels too slow to win at this pace 🙁
alex benzer in the Privacy and Security section of the Bluesky app settings, you have the option of requiring others to be logged in to view your posts. when enabled, this breaks link preview cards — e.g. if you share your post link somewhere else, the link card won't appear. that's not great, so i propose...

dame bluesky, i need your feedback we're making some changes to the design/UX of @bsky38.com's login screen after 2 years of experimenting, my current hunch is that an atmosphere login screen needs to *look* and *feel* like a traditional multi-provider login screen which of these do you like best?
