It’s late and I’m a little high but I wanted to tell you I saw a Yellow-billed Cuckoo today. I have only seen one maybe three times, including today. At first I didn’t know what I was looking at, and then I saw that bill! It was moving in slow-motion and was telepathically screaming DONT LOOK AT ME!

Yellow-billed Cuckoos are very secretive birds, but they have a very distinctive call. Something I just learned is that they can call both during the day as well as at night. So while spotting a Cuckoo is not easy, you may hear one and know it is near. www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Yellow...
