"Diplomatic and peaceful solution" is code for total Iranian capitulation after the US massacred schoolchildren, and is in the process of destroying the civil service infrastructure of Iran. It's the complete opposite of diplomacy. "Peace" through terror.

This India trip was the big focus and I'm sure the whole team has been working their tales off to check all boxes. The unwelcome distraction of possibly WW3 breaking out while they were in the thick of it on burner phones might've meant rushing out a boilerplate message without enough thought put in
Maybe it's wishful thinking, but this sounds more like Minister Anand and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs disagrees with the PMO & Carney about messaging on the Iran war.
Anand now appears to have deleted this statement.

I hope this is a touch the stove moment for this government. We may need to take the world as it is, not as we wish it to be, but Canadians largely still believe in our identity (historical accuracy aside) - which is decent, empathetic, and helpful. Not war mongers with the memories of gold fish.
