Oh cool we're rebranding "child abuse" as "FAFO PARENTING" Great work everyone.

I think you can teach kids limits and consequences without abuse. Also, I dare say growing up feral in the 80’s was a bit of fafo. Our parents just didn’t know where we were or what we were doing all day to give limits. Sometimes scaling roofs at building sites, sometimes watching questionable tv.

So resurrecting the parenting that got us as a society into this toxic state of shame and no contact families. No thanks, I’ll take connection and trust.

My wife and I grew up in the 1950s, which I've always viewed as a FAFO time, but it was nothing like this article makes it out to be. The mother who threw the iPad out destroyed trust. Both of our mothers built trust by being there for us, to dress our wounds from our daily battle with life.
