I think it’s reasonable to argue that if a (golden-share) state-owned company is not allowed to operate in the country where it is controlled from, then we don’t have to extend it the same courtesy.
Can you explain what you mean by this? The CCP is terrible, but the ACLU, which focuses on laws in the United States, has no power or influence to change CCP policy. Are you saying you're concerned about Tiktok being censored by the CCP and that affecting the US?
every accusation about tiktok is an admission of what american social media already provably does. facebook et al spies on us and turns our info over to the u.s. govt and law enforcement whenever they ask. more concerned with what my own country is doing because i can (theoretically) address it
