Bobson Wong Bayside, NY @Deb My AP Statistics students would reply that association does NOT equal causation. They would also point out that you ignore lurking variables, such as the students who go to the school. No teacher or school brags about how LARGE their classes are. Of course, class size reduction doesn't solve everything, but it works best when it's part of a larger mindset of treating teachers as professionals. To be honest, reducing class size isn't enough to improve school quality. For starters, we also need to improve the quality of curricula (by removing content since we cram too much into our curricula) and standardized tests (which don't do a great job of measuring what students know).
