I’ve heard the early 1990s were similar to the 1960s. Back then, my high school days, I had long hair, sang in a grunge band, and went to weekend keg parties. Here’s how wild it was. In high school, four of my friends, two boys with their girlfriends, went missing for a week. They came back sunny and tan, one holding a beer bottle with white sand in it from a beach they camped out on. I guess it was like the 1960s.
It doesn’t surprise me that video stores are making a comeback. Streaming platforms are becoming too expensive and are constantly removing content. Add into this equation age verification, and it makes a perfect storm. I mean, what would you rather do, give over your ID to every website you visit to verify you’re an adult or simply walk into a store, get carded at the door by a person who looks at your ID, doesn’t record it, and lets you proceed?
