This just looks like dialectical materialism to me - which is good, don't get me wrong, but who are the Berkana Institute??
The Berkana two-loop model is one of the clearest maps of transition. The old system doesn't collapse and THEN the new one grows. They overlap. The compost feeds the seedling while the tree is still falling. That simultaneity is the hardest part to live inside.
