Because there are many other pepper varieties that people are used to 😜 but if the demand grows surely they'll become more common.

(Also I loathe cooked/pickled peppers. Fresh is the only way to go.)
We can def get other peppers, but there’s something about the aroma and flavor of jalapeño. I don’t know how demand can grow for it if nobody gets to try it. They’re not particularly hot, but they’re so delicious.
