Such a great feeling! I'm so happy for both of you. And hearing his purr is heartwarming. I have a domesticated feral that just begged for pets after I got back from a trip. He used to ignore me for a few days upon my return. Last night he cried for me! They do learn to trust and love again.

Aww. He looks like my Hank aka Buddy ❤️. Hank was trapped/ rescued from a woman whose neighbors moved and just threw him out to fend for himself at just six months old. He was super skinny/ covered with fleas. I took him and he's my baby for life now. He's super sweet too. And a lil chunky now too 😁

I used to whistle and hum the hymn of the fayth and the summoning from final fantasy 10 and my old ginger lady loved it for her 25 years of life. Ginger cats love a good whistle/him/sing imho

I went to Pet Smart one time to see a ginger bobtail. His cage was at eye level, and when I walked in he was laying on his side looking sad. He reached out one paw as if to shake my hand: "How ya doin', guy?" I said to Janice, "That's the one." We had Butterrum for 14 years. He was a joy.

It took us one month of petting him every single day for him to softly, hesitantly purr for pets. And another month from that to here. This cat was so sick that for the first month, he could only lay in an exhausted heap & accept his fate. When I trapped him, I was sure it would be for mercy euth.
