How did you get on with Compile?
Played Vinhos (2010) for the first time! Loved it, it's a keeper.
Only one game of Obsession this weekend with my wife (who as normal won the game). She’s ruthless at Obsession 😁
My week was a nice batch of lite to mid complexity games.. All definitely enjoyable!
It was a hectic week here but we made time for a few card games.
Just read your original review of Euphoria. Does it still hold up today with the Essential Edition?
Just learned a couple of new ones at lunch: Collect (eh) and L'Oaf (ooh!).
Trying to get into Dominion a bit! And a friend showed me Penalty and I’ve been OBSESSED.
I had some free time, so got to play some published stuff in addition to playtesting! We did a trio of lighter games - Orbit - felt fine, but had UI issues for my colorblind buddy Club Spooky -was cute, but we wanted a bit more info and less guesswork Brew - fun, but much meaner than expected
we played through Pandora's Legacy, which was fun. also met up with a pal and played some japanese and indie game market stuff: Comboron, Counterpoint, You've Goat Mail, and Trickster Gods
just Deep Regrets with its new Even Deeper Regrets expansion! I love the new options it adds, and the art remains incredible.
Highlights: 1) Got to play Fiddich & Tichu a couple of times where we crushed the opposing team. It was a raucous time. 2) Met with a dear friend I hadn’t seen in a long time & we played through The Grizzled back-to-back. She captured all the birds in the last round of Hold my beer.
Mtg and Forgotten Waters. I was "Wry" Sir Oni, the San Francisco Cheat. We got to the midpoint pretty late in the evening but the kid surprised us by wanting to push through, and so we did. Good times
All new to me, and several new all-timers!
'Flamecraft' charmed my partner. 'Railroad Tiles' saw the table for the 50th time. 'Burned' for saw it for the 1st time, per your suggestion. But the biggest news was that we had a decisive victory playing 'Cross Bronx Expressway', which I bleet about here:
Lots of Memoir, thanks to BGA. And the prototype keeps getting better with each play.
Just three this week but they're all hits. We've played Middara and It's a Wonderful World +20 times, Gachapon Trick doesn't have that sort of numbers yet but it will probably get there.
Not much on the physical table - just started my first solo game of Great Western Trail 2nd yesterday. On BGA we played Galactic Cruise and my first game of Lorenzo Il Magnifico.
Lotta dueling going on for ya this week! We did a little bar crawl and I brought park life and waddle for that. Waddle is a fantastic traveling game. Travel friendly rebirth kinda? I like it. My wife and I got flower fields played a few times. And had a big game day with sweetlands, 4p 4+hrs! 😅😵🫠

Not much, but I introduced someone to Netrunner with the system gateway starter decks, went great! I really do appreciate the starter decks in that you can start playing without getting too much into timing and stuff, and I think playing hacker with a semi-open hand 1st game works pretty well.
My worst-ever Ark Nova performance, a game of Earth with the Abundance expansion, and a game of Shackleton Base. Had a blast!
Hows Compile been holding up for you? Just got the second box, excited to try the new systems out!
Played those one. It was the twins first time playing a game with a lot of “take-that” and the first play was not fun. The second play was better, but only just. (It was their idea to play it a second time). They were also not amused by the lesser amount of women characters
