Bedworth has no w. I was told off for using all the letters.

You're getting dangerously close to my neck of the woods, where nothing is pronounced as it's spelled!

I'm gonna go with "Kir-Beck" in classic English "the rest of those letters are just there for the tourists" tradition

Kick-um-back?

anlomedad · 2d

Don't say it tho. ... Please, really don't. Shout Brampton instead. Cool bikes.

Is it Chumley?

Having lived in Northern England seven years now, I would actually just pronounce that as written. It doesn't have any the usual glottlised medial consents, and Kirk preserves the r-sound usually. But I live to be surprised.

This is going to be wrong now, but my guesses would have been Kirk-um-beck or Kirk-um-beak or Kirk-um-beach

Keck?

No idea

Is it similar to Loughborough, which is definitely *not* pronounced “Looga-borooga”?

Kir-camby?

"Throatwarbler Mangrove"

I was told by a local that it’s pronounced cam-eck. 🤯

Badly?

Now I want to know how Kershopefoot is pronounced as well.
