The cast from the Lost World, by Conan Doyle. A lot of genre fiction suffers from wooden characters, so it was great to meet a cast I would cheerfully read about going to IKEA and assembling a Malm bedroom set, let alone going to hunt dinosaurs.The book had issues but I loved those four idiots.
