Can attest as Im in the area - when Dave's Cosmic subs was one small shop it was S tier. Now its okay-ish Also - Jersey Mike's is rapidly declining

if anything gets bought by a VC firm, PE, or other investors, it’s going to get worse, usually a lot worse, and fast. They want their money back. It’s a race between how fast they can make it back, and how long it takes them to go bankrupt. Or, sucking every last $ out of brand loyalty.

I wouldn’t wish private equity on a local sandwich shop I hated.

Workers take buyout and reopen quality sandwich shop that outcompetes the PE shop

I would not eat at a sandwich "chain" in the first place. So irrelevant to me what Subway etc. does.

I have the same question, but for movie theater chains. Alamo Drafthouse, I remember you.

It will close within 18 months anyway.

Ditto healthcare--clinics, emergency rooms, hospitals...

I want all the SKYDANCE and its acquisitions to collapse with low viewership.

Private equities are spending money to destroy companies? It’s their money. They can waste it anyway they like. After they destroyed those companies, may be private corporations will buy them for a song?
