Mirai corn so sweet you can eat it raw, the label says drop into boiling water 2 minutes. Developed in IL, its modified mini asian corn to a full size ear

Bronstein-Nematode · 11d

The corn is just an excuse for eating gobs of butter.

Walker Riley · 11d

pull the husk back, remove the silk, replace the husk, soak for an hour in heavily salted water. grill over charcoal. no butter or salt needed, best tasting corn i've ever had.

Marc Riggsbee · 11d

If they didn’t say bake in the shucks, I’ll ignore them. Have a couple of fresh ears soaking before hand.

mrxexon · 11d

Wrap in a single layer of plastic wrap and nuke for 1-2 minutes...

@taishiea.bsky.social · 11d

they are there to have you judge their corn of course.

Jubilado0505 · 11d

Remove the corn, cook, provide toothpicks.

@beverlyangel.bsky.social · 11d

The fresher the corn, the sweeter! So set up a propane camp stove in the garden. Put 2inch water in a big pot w/ a tight fitting lid. Once water is boiling, harvest the ears and pop em IMMEDIATELY into boiling water. Put the lid back on and cont boiling for 10 min. Eat while standing in garden!

Todd Lambert · 10d

So that’s it… not even some butter? Just lay em on a plate? No spices or a drizzle over the top with a piece of parsley?

EcoHacker · 11d

"...corny answers only!"

Leave the husk on. Nuke for 3 minutes per ear. Cut the fattest part of the stem end off. Hold the other end and shake until the ear falls out of the husk. Clean as a whistle, no silk.

I am learning I do too much. Thanks!

Call Me Maybe · 10d

Ha

Lisa Schiff · 11d

Hopefully they said "Right now, cook to an internal temp of 165 F"

"I was being ironical." · 11d

Good answer!! 😂🤣😄

Aoife · 10d

I don't know about any of this bullshit. Corn comes in it's own steamer. You cook it, you peel it and you eat it. Done and done.

Barely Functioning · 11d

If you haven't tried air fryer corn on the cob you're missing out!

@rekati.bsky.social · 11d

Just throw it as is, husk and all, onto the grill. Peels all the silk and husk easy peasy. Tastes amazing.

@jurgenhissen.bsky.social · 10d

Soak, then grill until the husk is burned through in places, caramelizing the corn.

Catturds of TrootSochul · 11d

Make a compound butter of chopped epazote, salt, and pepper. Rub onto the cobs with the husks pulled back; return the husks to their upright position. Roast over coals, turning occasionally to expose all sides. This is esquites.

Mean Bean Machine · 11d

The microwave is the right answer tho.

Kathryn Harrison · 11d

Lime, chilli flakes, salt and butter, wrap in foil and cook on bbq or oven

Yet? · 10d

That made me laugh. Needed it today. Thanks.

Tommy Edwin · 11d

Mmmmmmmmmm

D.N. Schmidt, SF author🪐📚 · 11d

I’m not actually looking for recipes. I get my corn in whisky form like the good lord intended.

Marian Steffen · 11d

I throw mine, shucks and all, either into the oven or onto the grill.

Millie, or Mills if we’re friends · 11d

Steam. You have to steam corn

LeeMacL 📎 · 11d

I cut off silk, drop in a tablespoon of water, broil in toaster oven until husk is browned all over. Peel and brush with seasoned butter or Trader Joe’s elote seasoning. Yummy!

Rachael the Spicy Hobbit · 11d

They all said "that's peasant food, my job is to artistically smear oils and sauces onto $500 plates, yn real cooking"

The Evil Betty · 11d

I like coating it in oil and old bay seasoning and grilling it still in the husk (you peel them open apply seasoning and then 'close' them back up to protect the moisture). But most agree steaming is best. My preferences differ.
