The weird dichotomy of Marin County: Sol Food, the best restaurant I've ever been to, vs. this weirdo NIMBY who didn't like that the building was lime green.

I like a lot of things about Marin, but it's also got some very weird wealthy white people issues. I remember when I moved back to Texas 8 years ago, I was like, OH, YEAH, BLACK PEOPLE EXIST! HOLY SHIT! because Marin was so overwhelmingly white that I could count the Black folks I knew on one hand.
"that may be appropriate for Puerto Rico, but not Marin County" I write, on a piece of paper, and continue writing and post the note as written. I think nothing of this kind of statement.
