It's not either/or. You can be both. Those hell bent on destroying earth, denying climate change, denying science ARE NOT CHRISTIAN. They may claim it but it's networking for them rather than actual conversion.

I wish people cared about who they think created it as much as they say they do, as much as they browbeat people who don't. For all the great many times I've been lambasted as a demon, a menace, an immoral monster, purely for being nonreligious, those people tend to be the most selfish and depraved.

I get the sentiment but I don’t think religious people get in the way of progressive environmental changes anymore than anyone else. One of the biggest changes people could make is going vegan, but people are very reluctant about that.
The moron trump babbling about how these fires never happened like this until 4 or 5 years ago was priceless in it's stupidity. All the morons that have been denying climate change seem to be having a hard time recognizing that this is what climate change looks like.

Some Christians are very concerned and care about all people and the planet. We’re also very annoyed about the pseudo Christians who think none of this matters as they focus on their selective Bible reading and the passages that they think reinforce their prejudices.
What a poignant way to look at it. We don't deserve this beautiful earth. It's given us everything; the least we could do is love it.
Well that's the problem. They believe the earth was created in six days by a being they can't prove the existence of. Plus, they believe in eternal life after physical death so they treat this world like it doesn't matter compared to their reward in heaven. So they don't care what happens here.

Climate Change is the generalized term, but to be more specific, it's climate instability. And that is leading to more damaging storms and other weather events. It's only going to get worse.
