I’ve seen multiple people talk about Silver’s article and say shit on the lines of “these are just college educated, downwardly mobile people. They don’t matter, they’re just failures.” And I gotta say, as someone that has busted my ass all my life to graduate top of my class and work hard

Turchin’s work is a good example of why political analysis benefits from more than polling and statistics.
