Each post you make really just puts the biggest smile on my face. The creative environment (as well as the natural environment) surrounding you is just breathtaking!
We finish the firing at 52 hours, with cone 12’s down throughout. We sealed it up tight for reduction cooling, which starves it of oxygen and it cools to get nice colors and crystals. It also makes flames shoot out everywhere, and you have to patch the flaming holes with clay.
