So much respect for the NFL players that wear those dork ass extra pads on their helmets. Imagine being brave enough to look that stupid just because you "want your brain to still work into your 50s."

I’m all for the extra protection and don’t care how it looks. Good for those who wear that padding. There should be cognitive life after football.

Wilt scored 50ppg when he did underhanded free throws and stopped doing them caused he looked like a sissy. Vanity will destroy us all

I’ll never forget when he died. “Mike Webster (Steeler) died in 2002 at the age of 50 of a heart attack. The brain disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) was initially discovered in his brain during his autopsy, and brought attention to the disease”

Every time I see one, I remark to my husband, “That player’s mom is SO proud.”

I wish people would quit saying people look stupid in these. We just aren’t used to them. Somewhere some kid on the internet is going to read this and never wear that thing because he doesn’t want to get roasted. It’s lame af to call this stupid.

I think each team must only be allowed one on the field at a time. Every game, ok where’s the defense’s guardian cap dude - ah there he is.

I kinda love that they’re owning the look just to stay safe 😂👏

I have an extremely hard time believing that those pillows actually do anything to significantly mitigate the likelihood of a concussion, but I sure hope they do!

I'm not even an athlete and I'd settle for my brain still working in my 40's... because I'm in my 40's and it doesn't work as well as it used to. Not that it works that well in the first place.
