I've chatted with our AI folks at work around better support for investigations (rather than finding answers), arxiv.org/abs/2302.12389 has been real interesting in shifting framing away from "explainable answers" to "supporting decisions" in a way that lines up better with joint cognitive systems.

This is pretty interesting :) I’d be curious to see how well something like this ends up doing in practice. It’s very similar to what I wrote in hazelweakly.me/blog/stop-bu... But the difference between what’s helpful in reality vs what people *want* to use can be quite wide
