a feature i and many others long wanted in bsky now on @mu.social: syntax highlighting, both directly in the post and for longer code as a @tangled.org string embed! "we can just yolo-merge things!"

love this! out of curiosity, why keep the markdown syntax in the post content instead of using facets?

Oh, kinda implementing markdown? 1. Would be nice, if visual would change during writing a post too (as in Discord). 2. Kinda preferably to have a metachar here. The standard/expected \ doesnʼt work. Btw, marking them would be good too.

this is awesome!

Does it support commonmark or GFM?

autumn · Jun 16

does the first one let you get past the 300 character limit?

Would you be able to point me to docs or your opinion on what mu is and its benefits? I did a brief search and couldn't find as much as I'd like.

Damn! This is very cool.

hrmm idk if i personally like the structure of putting markdown directly into posts like that... isn't that the point of facets?

Roscoe Rubin-Rottenberg · Jun 17

wait oh no is markdown syntax invading my pure rich text facets experience
