Unsurprisingly, the new @eurosky.social firehose is much faster for @sifa.id to connect to (compared to the standard bsky firehose) and on-par with the @microcosm.blue firehose (as all 3 are on 🇪🇺 Hetzner servers) Well done team, big wins for atproto independence and decentralization this week! 👏👏👏

Surely the connection to a nearby server is faster. The interesting question is: do you get an event coming from a PDS far away faster via the eurosky firehose or the bsky firehose? Of course, with a Europe first policy, I'd connect to the EU server. 😁

It would be nice to add some metrics regarding the size of the events. However, those are promising results. Keep the hard work!
