Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson is announcing today the opening of a 75-unit enhanced tiny house shelter for people experiencing homelessness, located in the Interbay neighborhood. The facility is a part of Wilson’s plan to open 1,000 new shelter beds per year, with 300 beds announced so far in 2026.

hope the rules to live in them don't suck.
The shelters were built by the company Pallet and will be operated by the new nonprofit Everyone Deserves Housing. Each unit will have electricity, a bed, a lockable door and AC system. Wifi, hygiene and laundry will also be on site. Residents will also have wraparound services and case management.
