The more I look at the drawings, I can see a lot of great stuff, but also so many questions, like: Why is there such a pinch point being made here? (1) People will naturally hang out around the benches and green areas, so why design a pinch point here? (2) Why not use zebras?

The main issues are on the edges. I cannot get over how bad this junction is. There's been a trend of project drawings being put out to public consultation or even planning before they are ready. But this is extreme. A signalled crossing followed by a continuous footpath? ☠️
