I am choosing to take a balanced approach to my AI usage. How do other devs and artists feel about this new wave of tools... and possible competition?

I like screwing around with Midjourney as a toy. I tried using Chat GP to correct my grammar. I think that stuff is fascinating and fun. Also, I got a hugely negative response for using a.i. art in a gamejam. Even though it was for a throwaway meme game. Many many places outright ban a.i. art.
I illustrated Arrhenius with a lot of AI-created raw materials that I then extensively edited and manipulated in photoshop. I also hired artists when I could. I found the AI process SOOOO much faster. But since I made it a year ago, the societal reaction to AI art has become extremely negative.
