Honestly there are a ton of solid greatest hits ones out there. I'm very partial to "The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003".

You did take the best one, but this is close and from a similar period.
It certainly has me exploring their back catalog but this a serious collection of strong synth pop hits.

Always a fan of greatest hits albums that have a good joke or pun instead of being simply "greatest hits".
Obligatory Canadian content. I'm not a huge Hip fan, but it's nice to have the hits to throw on if I'm feeling patriotic.
CCR greatest hits and The Who greatest hits really are banger after banger. I got one of these and am eternally envious of a friend of mine. He grabbed a record while visiting that I had seen on the shelf countless times :D
Echoes: The Best Of Pink Floyd. Great mix of bangers and deep cuts, all edited together as if they were originally from the same album.

Not just my favorite greatest hits album but one of my favorites of all time. Truly perfect lineup of songs on this album that blends together seamlessly for an incredible experience I’ve loved for over 20 years.

Ooh, when I was younger and just getting into music, “best of” albums were a cost effective way to build up my collection (pre streaming)! My tops were Green Day’s “International Superhits” The Offspring’s “Greatest Hits”, and Regurgitator’s “Jingles” had a huge influence on me early on
