Is this mostly utility-scale? All the residential installers I know are going out of business because no one wants panels without a tax break in a lot of places.
Solar power made up 12% of US electricity this April, a new record high that's up from 10.8% last year Over the last twelve months, solar has made up 9% of US electricity, another record high!

But it’s clearly not growing as fast as it was. In previous years April was about as high or higher than any month in the previous year. Not so for 2026.

Now do the same chart for fossil fuels. It doesn't matter how fast solar is increasing if it isn't replacing fossil fuels. Climate change is a problem of CO2 *levels* in the atmosphere, not marginal emissions rates.
