The AI Big Brother has already started within the context of private companies, but with the outdated Third-Party doctrine of the Fourth Amendment, then any data given to a third party has “no legitimate ‘expectation of privacy’.” From UNITED STATES v. MILLER (1976): “The Fourth Amendment does not prohibit the obtaining of information revealed to a third party and conveyed by him to Government authorities.” So the US government can request almost any data shared with a third party without a warrant, and given Big Tech’s cozy relationship to a democratically-backsliding US government, then who knows what kinds of backroom deals are being made to automate data sharing.
The six UNSCRs – 1696, 1737, 1747, 1803, 1835, and 1929 – were reimposed on September 27, 2025, following the Iranian regime’s continuing “significant non-performance” of its nuclear commitments. The UNSCRs include provisions that require the Iranian regime to suspend uranium enrichment-, heavy water-, and reprocessing-related activities; prohibit Iran from using ballistic missile technology; prohibit Iranian arms imports and exports; reimpose travel bans and global asset freezes on listed persons; and authorize the seizure of prohibited cargo being transferred to and from Iran.

However Khronos' mission is to create and promote a standard that fulfills a particular mission. They are accountable for the success of this mission. When a member of the group (Meta) is deliberately taking steps that go against this mission and endanger its success, then Khronos must take action. As I explained in my technical breakdown, Meta is undoing the work of many players in the OpenXR group. They are literally throwing in the garbage can work that you and I have done in the last few years to make OpenXR a successful standard for the industry. Meta being a leader in the industry, they have the responsibility to set an example for others. I'm not even going to go over the fact that the current chairman of the OpenXR workgroup is an employee of Meta.

The best way to prevent H5 bird flu is to avoid exposure whenever possible. Infected birds shed avian influenza A viruses in their saliva, mucous, and feces. Other infected animals may shed avian influenza A viruses in respiratory secretions and other bodily fluids (e.g., in unpasteurized cow milk or 'raw milk'). As a general precaution, whenever possible, people should avoid contact with sick or dead animals, in particular wild birds, and poultry. For individuals with direct/close contact with wild birds or sick or dead poultry or other animals, wear recommended personal protective equipment (PPE). Wild birds can be infected with avian influenza A viruses even if they don't look sick. Do not touch surfaces or materials (e.g., animal litter or bedding material) contaminated with saliva, mucous, or animal feces from wild or domestic birds or other animals with confirmed or suspected avian influenza A virus infection.
