Chan & McKnight talk about “how pleasure can cultivate ‘friendship, intimacy, resistance, sexual pleasures, affective embodied experiences, and artistic exploration.’ Focusing on these incorporating these pleasurable pursuits emphasizes joy and makes us less susceptible to being controlled by fear.
