Personally I wouldn’t let a spoon stand between my cat’s life and death, as fun as it looks. 100% recommend screening in balconies and windows instead

Friends 40 years ago moved from a house into a condo on the 12th floor. They were all concerned that the cat would jump on the balcony handrail chasing birds. I picked up the cat held her paws all tightly, and leaned over the balcony so that she had a good look.She hid out by her litter box and food

There are geniuses among us. What a great idea. I used to measure and cut pool noodles to close the gap between the rails of the bannisters when my kids were curious crawlers.
My mom used to whoop me with this. As an adult, I use it to make so.e savory pasta sauce.

Noooo. Please, provide a safer option. I used exercise pen panels to build an enclosure, top included. Connected to the inside sliding door with a doggie door connector panel. Esay to put up and take down. Not cheap but they are SAVE and enjoying the outdoor sounds and fresh air.

I had an apex predator cat who found away outside. A small pipe that had no reason to be there. Coming home from work to see Max somehow squeeze through that small pipe. We smashed both ends of that pipe. Max was not happy.
