Text Shot: According to company officials, the Guthrie McDonald’s is expected to serve its final customers on June 26 before temporarily closing for construction. Demolition of the existing restaurant is scheduled to begin shortly after the Fourth of July holiday as crews clear the site and begin work on a new facility. The restaurant is targeting an early October reopening date, although construction schedules can be impacted by weather and other factors.

I commend the owners for their decision and thank them on behalf of the people of Oklahoma City. As Mayor, I ask that every single property owner in Oklahoma City exhibit the same concern for our community in the days ahead.
