It used to be my wifes workstation from her last job - when she was made redundant her ex-employer asked if she wanted to buy the PC rather than send it back. I was like SURE, assuming it would be a few grand… I was deep into shipping Demonschool and doing SO many builds, A threadripper sounded good
If that ram is ecc, it hasn't spiked in price nearly as much as the regular stuff at least.
