Shcumer and Jeffries should be extremely vulnerable, because they are both worthless in their positions. Elevating them to controlling leadership positions, will solidify the status quo of the Democratic party, which is how we have arrived where we are as a nation today.

Schumer and Jeffries are both terribly weak leaders who have not risen to the challenge of counter-punching the corrupt regime running this country.
This is good. Everyday I read something that proves the Establishment Dems (the AIPAC funded, etc) are no better than most of the Republicans. They need to go.

The US is finally moving left, after having moved right for 45 years.
If dems start with culture issues first v they will lose the independent voter. They need to start with their affordability ideas. Healthcare, tax fairness for families, seniors and the middle class. And auditing thru full investigation into stolen tax monies by this administration.
Senate Dems shouldn’t wait for 2028 to challenge Schumer’s leadership. He should be removed now from his Senate Majority Leader position. Likewise for Jeffries in the House.

It's good to see these new and young people having success in elections but it can't be allowed to make the rift inside the Democratic party any wider than it already is. Smart people in the party must find a way to work together for the greater good and make us stronger against real magat enemies.

This is New York, not the entire country. Are Progressives really gaining nationwide power, or is the media hoping to make it so… for ratings? Extremes on either side should not be the norm. I mean, look at what’s happening with MAGA. I am not comparing policies, I am comparing extremes of D & R.

I’m struck by the question of whether or not progressives can win statewide. Aren’t there enough voters in NYC and the progressive areas of places like Buffalo and Albany to just overwhelm the rest of the state regardless of how conservatives vote?
Both Schumer and Jeffries need to go. We need courageous leaders that are focused solely on stopping the fascist takeover of America, not AIPAC owned shills that are more concerned about being paid to protect foreign interests than they are about protecting their own constituents.
We are WAY past the time to turn to the next generation of leadership. Schumer has become a liability and the butt of too many jokes and Jeffries lacks the charisma and skill to lead the caucus. (Although, maybe he can be an orchestra conductor with his exaggerated hand movements.)

Can we PLEASE not focus on the left vs the center-left. When protesters are facing 60 year sentences, 250 fisherman have been murdered, foreign leaders abducted, environments trashed,illegal wars waged, and the government is operating as a mob shakedown, do we need to focus on who is left of whom?
No, we don't. If anything, we're trying to get today's regular Democrats to be more like FDR, whose policies were far more like DSAs (See Mamdani's policies).

I truly hope this is a sea change within the party. The days of centrists of each party creating compromise is long gone. That ended over a decade ago, and we’re only now seeing the rise of truly leftist candidates. We’ve moved so far right as a nation it’s past time to move back left - hard.

@schumer.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social should either denounce Israel and withdraw all funding and military support for their genocide or step aside in their pursuit of leadership positions in the 2027 Congress. Forcing fractured votes benefits no one. (See 2023/2025)

My biggest problem with Schumer is that his attention is almost exclusively on NY City. Those of us in the rest of the state can read about him, but never see him. I would like to see a young progressive senator who cares about all of the state.
We need to purge every politician that shows any level of support for Israel.
Hakeem jeffries is young enough and savvy enough to pivot and stay where he is. Schumer is doomed tho.
The reason they are afraid of Mamdani is because he’s showing them just how bad and weak they are, and that their entrenchment isn’t as deep as they thought. An awake electorate is the enemy of the incumbent. I just hope the DSA doesn’t become the Tea Party and co-opted by evil.

Voters are screaming for a major change to their lives via huge increases in wages. Not just fed minimum wage, but all wages. Prices never come down, so wages must go up. Corp profits will come down and therein lays bare the influence behind Schumer and Jeffries.

I've been waiting all year for Shumer & Jeffries to do SOMETHING about Trump scamming America. I became disgusted with both of them. I finally gave up on any hope of them doing ANYTHING to help the Democrats. Time to shake things up.
