Love this chart! I'm from Chicago, and I knew 8 blocks (the long side) is a mile--but I never knew each block is a furlong.
I've seen this chart before and love it.
When I took the Fundamentals of Surveying exam (the prerequisite to taking the licensure exam), the very first question was a rods to feet conversion.
There are terms on there that I wasn't even aware of! If you had started talking to me using some of those terms I'd assume that you were also going to tell me about how you used to wear an onion on your belt because it was the style at the time.
I guess they didn't tell the person who made that there was also an Admiralty nautical mile
