The pigment stays in the skin until the outer layer naturally exfoliates, usually lasting between 10 to 12 days.

Fascinating. It’s not “just” a dye, it chemically reacts with the skin itself (proteins, amino acids) to permanently change the color of the outer skin layer.

The girls who rise from the water look like sirens. A little child, turning back while holding her mother’s hand— surely, she is loved by the forest. Insect repellent is important in the dense jungle. The patterns hold deep meaning. That lovely shade of purple— I’d love to try wearing it.

💜That dye appears a lovely deep purple to my eyes/💻. Interesting how inedible fruit’s used to protect & decorate their skin, almost lending a sheen, too. I found the 2nd photo esp beautiful. K, I sometimes wonder if there’s a country/tribe you’ve never seen, so widely you’ve travelled🌎🌍& then🤔:Yes.🥰
