It feels like I’ve slipped back in time—such a breathtaking scene. Traditional Japanese temple and shrine architecture is also mostly built without nails. The name “Wind and Rain Bridge” has such poetic charm. It connects people and symbolizes harmony with nature—perfect for this beautiful bridge.

K, these are absolutely gorgeous structures: never seen anything like them, so complex, so intricate. But it’s the info in ALT2 that’s left me gobsmacked: they were built without any nails, using precise mortises & tenons?!😳…Good grief, what beautiful architectural marvels they are! Great📸s TY!👏

Amazing how cultures so far apart can come up with similar ideas - obviously the Ponte Vecchio springs to mind, but also Old London Bridge (although the latter in particular even had houses on it). I do like the Chinese roof design though. Thank you for sharing!
