Nothing new here. Kramer ran an AI movie ticket phone line and his results were just like this.
I have long gotten that response from customer service lines, doctor's offices, etc.

If Google's AI tells me it hallucinated its answer one more time, I'm admitting it to a rehab center.
I’m sure there are some applications where AI is beneficial but customer service is not and won’t be one of them. Never had a +ve experience.

An LLM would understand your query perfectly though
The expectations are so high that no matter who much it delivers, disappointment is inevitable. The fall out from that disappointment will not be confined to AI companies nor to Silicon Valley and it will be everyone's problem and in multiple ways!
