Such bullshit. The time and effort and paperwork I had to provide to prove eligibility and get my mom Medicaid was arduous. And it had to be done repeatedly. They just lie. The biggest welfare recipient right know is. You know who.
I notice that nobody here is defending them, so I feel the need to do so. You need to realize two basic things: 1. They have no empathy, compassion, or even a desire for a level playing field that benefits everyone. 2. They need people to hate the poor or else they'll start hating the rich.

Republican politics changed when Donald Trump discovered that there is no penalty for telling outrageous lies. Why isn't there a penalty for telling outrageous lies? Who has the job of imposing those penalties and why did they stop?
I can only imagine how awful the SNAP process is, and demeaning. I did an application for my husband for Medicaid - a nightmare and massive paper chase. Need help? It’ll cost $6-12k from outside-of-government ‘specialists’ and no guarantee. This is no way to treat children, the sick and disabled.

Unelected Steven Miller is a fucking Nazi - 80 years ago you know exactly where you would have found him. He is hiding on a military base (and not even paying rent) because he knows he is hated and there are morally righteous people will attack him if opportunity presented.
I work for WIC. One of the requirements is presence. We must see the child at least once a year. And WIC is the easy one to qualify for.\ SNAP is a lot harder. Most of our WIC recipients DO NOT qualify for SNAP because of how stringent their criteria is.
