Hi all! Today, we concluded the first week of congestion pricing. With 7 full days of data on commute times in this new era for traffic in NYC, we are becoming increasingly confident in its early impact (and lack thereof) on various commutes. So far, the key takeaways are significant improvements in traffic along bridges and tunnels leading to the congestion zone, increases in traffic along neighboring, but not charged, routes, and no discernible impact on commutes within the congestion zone itself. We will continue to track the data, and watch for new developments! As a side note, thank you all so much for following and responding to our updates. From now on, we will post weekly updates on new data and traffic patterns. We are looking forward to a second full week of data to be added to our tracker!
