Princess River Coluber 👑 @river.bitch.space · Feb 22 I REALLY don't get why so many people are setting this option on since they added it, ESPECIALLY if they're doing things like posting art on here. it DOESN'T keep ANYONE from seeing your posts! in fact, if you're posting things that you WANT spread around, it outright HURTS your discoverability!

if you're an artist, and you turn this on, your art WILL NOT EMBED in apps like discord, telegram, etc, if someone just uses the actual direct link. you might think "that's fine, then they have to click through" except they either WON'T click through (give up), OR, just screencap it or copy image
