I'm from Bogot谩, and most people would have preferred to have a metro system decades ago. However, politicians decided that a BRT system was cheaper and could do the same job as a metro. It was a ridiculous decision when compared to other Latin American capitals.

The times I traveled to Bogot谩, people would always complain about the traffic, and IIRC they had implemented days of the week in which you couldn't use your car at all.

They鈥檝e been talking about a metro since 2013. So happy for them, & paired with Transmilenio it could provide a robust network, like other cities with both (like Mexico City & Medellin)

And the less said about the construction cost, the better. It's setting records for high costs for a Spanish-speaking country.
