In the 80's, the first exit off 520 to Seattle was the Mercer exit and it had 3 restaurants there, all meat markets at night. We called it the "Herpes Triangle" filled with Eastsiders.

Back in my day, we had to try to escape Bellevue the old fashioned way: Taking Bel-Red Rd. literally anywhere else. XD
