Both Michelle Yeoh and Holly Hunter have won Best Actress Oscars Jason Isaacs was nominated for a BAFTA, and won an Empire Award (the latter being specifically for his work on Disco). To say current Trek doesn't have A+ acting is patently absurd

I'm not sure how anyone could think that Shatner on his best day is a better actor that Yeoh or Hunter on their worst, much as I like TOS. But, I'm sure they'll answer that in their "How I'm Neither Racist Nor Sexist Despite Only Hating the Series that have Female or Non-White Leads" panel.
