11pm in midsummer is wild, it's hard to call it a night (figuratively and literally)

A year on and it's still throwing me for a loop - I floated the idea of going for a walk at 10pm because it's still so light out.

I was in Finland around this time last year and my brain could not wrap around it being light out for so much of the day

When I visited Scotland we ate dinner at 9pm and it was amazing. There was a day when I was thinking "man, I could use a nap before we go out later" and I looked at my clock and it was 10pm. I had no idea lol

Best night of the year, may the sun never set. Praise the Sun!

I miss this a little bit. I don't miss the endless night of December/January, but being far enough north for 10-11PM sunsets always felt a little magic

There was a music festival in North Karelia, not even above the Arctic Circle, at midsummer and I ended up staying awake for three consecutive days because it never got dark.

As someone who much prefers the nighttime, I think this would genuinely fuck me up.

Dang. Pretty, though!
