This Pupster is exactly the same. We are a pack and only the pack goes walking. Recently had three family over from Canada and Pupster ground to a halt on the drive until all five joined him. I love independent-minded creatures.

One of our dogs is a Bernedoodle (see my picture) she has a herding mentality. When we go on walks she spends her time watching the family. My daughter walks with a cane and will fall behind, the dog notices and she stops until my daughter catches up with the group. An incredible family dog.

I had an orange tabby cat named Lucy who was SO close to my Shelty Vern that she would always start to follow us on our walks. I’d always have to turn around and tell her to go home which always broke my heart.🐶❤️😿🐾

Don't know about this. It seems he prefers the other owner. He'd probably have no problem being taken for a walk by the other owner. I know dogs. Zebby's walking nearest to the owner that caught up. But this is only a clip. I've interpreted this solely on this basis. He prefers the other owner. 😉👍

It looks like he favours the man over the woman and refused to go for a walk until the man is going. It is a big problem since not everyone is able to both take the dog out for a walk, and the dog is the boss not the humans.

Family walk is the best walk
So funny. I have a beautiful & sweet yellow lab / border collie cross, and she too insists that my wife and I both walk with her. No splitting up part-way, or leaving one behind at the house. And when the kids / grandkids are around, she expects that they too join the outing.

If my partner and I split up on trail (which we do sometimes if he wants to turn around), it breaks my dogs brain. He will sprint a quarter mile between us back and forth. Even if I try to get him to stay with me.

Our Juliette was like that. We had 3 dogs, and Jessie was too old to walk the entire distance, so half way one of us tried to take him back to the car while the others continued on. NO, NO, NO, positively NO! Juliette would NOT allow the group to split up! (Possibly a little Border Collie in her!)
