I disagree with Google here. The spliff method of joint parenting often gives me a headache.

the death of ontology is upon us. all things that can be conceptualized, described, or named will be deemed to have existed. the machine will define them for us. and google wants this to become what people mean when they say they "googled" something

To its credit, it seems to understand this is only applicable as a metaphor, its response is entirely consistent with that, and it makes no claims that anyone in their right mind thinks about it that way -- but fails to express any doubt in such or make any critique on humanist grounds.
they created a machine that is not allowed to say "I don't know" and now they can't get it to stop lying constantly. who could have predicted this?
