Against a very busy backdrop (mural? Matisse?), 4 yarnbombs hang on lobby mezzanine railing. Two are maps of DC with “51” at center. Two say “FREE DC.” Colors are red-white-blue.
7’ US flag hanging at Woolly Mammoth Theatre, seen from sidewalk-fronting window. It was stitched and crocheted in 2026 in mixed fiber by the many hands of FreeDC’s DC Stitch Brigade. It has the usual 50 white stars and a sparkly red one denoting the future statehood of DC.

This one's easy: Patch depicts an ungulate (steer? bull? could be a buffalo) with classic curved "bull's horns" in camo green on black.

Camera swings immediately to catch a skyborne formation of what looks like a B-2 stealth bomber + several accompanying jets.

At rear, part of the Potemkin Village structures housing State Fair, painted to look vaguely classical. Across 4 lanes of traffic, cars and trucks passing on both sides, seen through 10-foot tall black fencing, stands an ungainly pasteboard mock-up of Trump's wet-dream arch, topped by a nightmarishly winged figure that's at least a 3rd as tall as the structure it stands on (and painted gold, ofc). In the far distance is the actually quite gainly dome of the U.S. Capitol.
x-walk from Mall to the edge of Capitol Grounds ends in … bike-rack barrier. It blocks the entire width of the zebra stripes. The rest of the curb along the traffic lane is barrier-free — just the pedestrian path is blocked smh.
17th Street blocked beside Old Executive Office Building (near White House) by staggered rows of monstrous vehicles, from camo jeeps to big orange dump trucks. Milling around them are National Guard. (This was for UFC cage match at White House, words we never thought would go together in a sentence.)
Taken from underground Metro track -- set against the station's classic Mid-Mod beige concrete bulwarks and honeycombed ceiling visible at top -- a train car's bright painted rainbow striping shines above the words "proudly join us on metro."
