I had a lovely weekend at Conspiracy, a convention not for playing games but for writing them. I ran an impromptu workshop on writing horror scenarios, a planned one on self publishing, and learned how to make books. I had to leave early though, as on Sunday I was running a nalbinding workshop.

Mostly hats and mittens. It reminds more of sewing but instead you use a big needle made out of bone, horn or wood.

marc Nalbinding invented before knitting or crocheting using a single needle to create durable products like hats, mittens, and socks. It's a series of knots, and unlike something that has been knitted it will not unwind if you pull on a loose end. I will attempt making a hat using the Oslo stitch.

Starfish Fibers Nalbound swatch is done for Celestial Wool & Fibers' Whimsical Worsted in Rhiannon! While superwash wool yarn isn't the usual go-to for nalbinding, this helped me learn which types of joins work well for fiber that can't be spliced by felting.
